The other day we were joking about little bunny minions and Suddenly Jessi pipes up she wants fish as minions. Now here I am picturing a troop of goldfish trying to take over the world, while she is picturing fish wielding tiny weapons, wearing diving helmets filled with water and walking using their tail as feet. and of course she just has to have it. So what's a mom to do other than whip out the hook an whip up Jessi a minion of her very own.

It seems I am now being reprimanded by my 10 year daughter about my lack of posting to the old blog which frankly I hated the interface I was required to navigate in order to post. So for her I start this news blog so that while she is away living with dad she can still follow what is happening here at home with Mom, Naga, and her siblings.

My First Published Pattern

Inspired by a Hockey team jacket for infants on the Colorado Avalanche's website I designed this little baby sweater. It measures out to be 6-9 months and colors can be suited to fit your team colors.

Yarn - Red Heart Super Saver in Blue, Red, and White

Ch. 50

Row 1:
dc in 4th ch from hook and next eight chs, work 3 dc in next ch (this forms the corner), dc in next 6 stitches, 3 dc in next stitch (corner), dc in next 12 stitches, 3 dc in next stitch (corner), dc in next 6 stitches, 3 dc in next stitch (corner), dc in final 10 stitches. turn

Row 2-9:
ch 3 (will count as first dc throughout pattern) dc in each st working 3 dc in the center stitch of each or the corners. turn

Row 10:
ch.3 dc in each st to first corner placing last stitch in the center stitch of the corner, ch.5, dc in center stitch of the second corner, dc across to 3rd corner placing final stitch in the center stitch, ch. 5, dc in the center stitch of the 4th corner and each st until end. turn

FINISHING

Overlap front flaps and place 1/2 buttons on bottom flap at desired intervals and use stitches on top flap as buttonholes.
